The Hayloft is the name given to the lounge area in John Champion's Barn. It is the mezzanine above the dining area which is carpeted and has floor level bench seating around the walls, some bean bags and additional floor cushions. The lounge area has an all-devices docking station and a combined DVD /TV (but no live TV). Some DVDs are kept in the resources store and we have a copyright licence that covers you to show them. A wide selection of books and some board games for your use can also be found in the resources store.
A dining area can be set up in the Barn, using our stacked chairs and tables. This provides you with the flexibility to use this floor space for different activities and sessions at different times during your stay. The open fire is a welcome feature in the Barn, and coal is available for your use during the colder months. The central heating system is comprehensive and can be overridden by you.
The kitchen is equipped with a catering gas range, a microwave oven, water boiler, fridge freezer, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, food thermometer and utensils.
We also provide washing up liquid, dish cloths and tea towels. We adhere to food hygiene standards.
A First Aid kit is provided in the kitchen.
The gas barbeque equipment near the buildings can be used for alfresco cooking when the weather is kind.
The Peak Centre at Champion House offers complete flexibility, allowing you to self cater, use a local caterer or have a mixture of the two.
The 7 bedrooms in this wing sleep between 2 and 5 people in bunk style beds. There is plenty of space to put your belongings. Duvets, pillows, sheets and pillow cases are provided.
