Grindslow Wing
Practical, Comfortable Group Accommodation in the Peak District
Grindslow Wing is ideal for smaller groups looking for a warm, functional base with everything needed for a comfortable residential. With space for up to 25 people (20 beds), it includes a self-catering kitchen, open-plan dining area, cosy lounge, and flexible sleeping arrangements.
Its sociable layout and practical features make it especially popular with schools, youth organisations, and mixed-age community groups.
Sleeping Arrangements
Grindslow Wing has six bedrooms:
- Four bunk rooms (4 beds each)
- Two leaders’ rooms (2 beds each, with en-suite shower and sink)
- Duvets, pillows, sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases are provided.
Please bring your own towels.
Lounge Area
Upstairs, the lounge offers a relaxing space to gather, unwind, or plan the day ahead.
Includes:
- Comfortable seating
- Combined DVD/TV unit (no live television)
- Access to books, games, and DVDs stored in the Boot Room
Dining Area & Kitchen
Grindslow Wing features a spacious, open-plan kitchen and dining area that encourages group connection and easy meal service.
Kitchen includes:
- Catering gas range
- Microwave, water boiler, fridge-freezer
- Cookware, crockery, cutlery, utensils
- Food thermometer and First Aid kit
- Dishcloths, washing-up liquid and tea towels
- Access to a gas barbecue (outdoors, weather permitting)
Groups may self-cater, bring in outside catering (such as Jo’s Pantry), or do a mix of both.
Accessibility
- A ramp can be installed to access the games area on request
- For additional accessibility needs, we’re happy to discuss options and adaptations
Shared Facilities
Guests in Grindslow Wing also have access to the Broadlee Wing, which includes:
- Sports Hall with climbing wall
- Two meeting rooms (Kinder Summit and Jaggers Room)
- Boot Room and equipment storage
- Resource areas and additional group-use materials
If your group books the entire centre, these facilities are reserved exclusively for your use.
