See What Our Visitors Say

We have brought our Year 6 children to The Peak Centre for over 20 years and wouldn't ever consider going anywhere else. Our children are given the most amazing opportunities including tai-chi, circus skills, bushcraft and reaching the top of Mam Tor on an extended walk. The centre is spacious and has everything we need to entertain the children throughout our stay. The staff are always welcoming, helpful and go above and beyond to accommodate all our requests. During activities, they are patient and supportive to allow all children to achieve their best. We thoroughly look forward to our week in Edale each year and the children describe it as 'the best residential ever!

Woodbridge Primary School has been visiting The Peak Centre for over 30 years, travelling all the way from Suffolk each year to immerse our children in the stunning surroundings of the Hope Valley. A warm welcome always awaits us, and we really value the flexibility to design our residential — a perfect combination of instructor-led experiences and self-guided sessions tailored to our pupils’ needs. Climbing and abseiling at Stanage Edge is always a highlight, as are those more reflective times spent around the campfire or tucked up in 'The Fold'. The supportive instructors go above and beyond to encourage our pupils to try new things and step outside their comfort zones. The centre’s commitment to providing safe, exciting, and memorable experiences is why we return year after year. We can’t recommend The Peak Centre highly enough.

I have been coming along to the Peak Centre for a number of years both with our Youth Group for weekends away as well as with other families just for a break. Each time we’ve found things clean, tidy & organised and always received a warm friendly welcome from Ben, the centre manager who is also always willing to help out with any of our requests. We have thoroughly appreciated the excellent range of activities available, having done the Climbing Wall sessions, archery, bushcraft and team building skills as well as making use of the outdoor orienteering course. The Sports Hall is such a brilliant facility to have for wet weather and when we’ve braved the elements to go up Mam Tor, having the drying room available for all our wet clothes has been excellent. Our kids and youth alike have enjoyed running around in the woods and sports field and being able to finish the day around the camp-fire is always special. After all these years of visiting, we have begun to feel the joy of familiarity and timelessness every time we return and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Rekonnect , an organisation that helps young people living abroad transition back to the UK, have been using the Peak Centre for fifteen years. It is modern, comfortable and well-equipped with excellent facilities. The location is perfect for walks starting right from the door and is within walking distance to the train station. The management are helpful and friendly and the fact that we return year after year must speak for itself. Thank you Peak Centre, and see you soon.
